Mr. Garcia started his career in Madera california working as a teacher's assistant. He obtained his teaching credential at Stanislaus State University and started working in 1998 as a Bilingual Teacher at Winton Middle School. Along with teaching, he also coordinated the Title VII program giving him the necessary experience that led him to take on a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) District Coordinator position for Delhi's English Learner Program. Mr. Garcia has served this community in different capacities, to include Associate Principal for Schendel School, the founding Principal for Harmony Elementary, various teaching positions for El Capitan and Schendel schools, Bilingual Teacher at Delhi Middle School, ELD Teacher for Delhi High School; and is currently serving as a district administrator coordinating English Language Development and Assessment.
Originally, Mr. Garcia was born in Madera California to migrant parents, where he worked alongside them in the fields during the summer breaks. He also studied abroad in Michoacan Mexico in his preteen years. Other life experiences include working for the banking industry, US Navy and the ski boat industry. Mr. Garcia holds a passion for learning and is fully dedicated to the students, staff and members in this community.
