AGRICULTURE

The agricultural education program is built on three major components: Classroom Instruction, Supervised Agriculture Experience, and FFA.

Classroom Instruction

Quality instruction in and about agriculture that utilizes a “learn by doing” philosophy. As students progress through the advanced offerings in the program they will participate in career exploration, project development, and marketing which can even include apprenticeships with local businesses.

We currently offer the following courses: Biology and Sustainable Agriculture, Chemistry and Agriscience, Veterinary Science, and Ag Communications and Leadership.

All courses are A-G approved.

Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE)

All students will have an agriculturally related hands-on learning experience while enrolled in agricultural education courses. This project will enhance the student's work ethic and knowledge of agriculture. Students can earn money and hours toward FFA degrees and awards.

The FFA Organization

“FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.” - FFA Mission Statement

Students will participate in various FFA activities throughout the school year. These activities build leadership skills, confidence, teamwork, and career skills that will last a lifetime.
